Cheer Leading?

There are two different methods commonly used for learning cartwheels and each has it's advantages and disadvantages. One is the bunny hop over method. This is an easy way to get started and good for learning to bring your hips up over your head. There's a good video here: http://www.videojug.com/film/how-to-do-a...

Then there is the side-to-side cartwheel method where you stand in a big X imagining yourself in a circle like in Leonardo Da Vinci's famous sketch showing the proportions of man. Maintaining the same shape throughout you rock back onto your non-dominant leg and then fall to the side onto your dominant leg using momentum to carry over, hand, hand, foot, foot. So that is good for learning the sequence and can be helpful for learning to keep legs straight.

Of course it is very much an asymetric move so some people will find it easier to lead with one hand and foot and some with the other depending on handedness. Try both ways to find which is easier for you.

Watch youtube keep practicing and youll learn. Maybe. ????

that so easy tho.

I'm 13 years old and i cannot do a cartwheel. I start cheer leading in 3 days and i was hoping to learn how to do one by then. I can do handstands and i have quite good body strength. I get the whole 'Hand, hand, foot, foot' but i tend to twist my body and my legs bend and I can't land them.
