Does anyone else think that the 1.8 million PPV buys for Mayweather vs Canelo was a bad thing for business?

Somehow you always find a way to turn a positive into a negative if it involves Mayweather lol, it was 2.2million I don't know where you heard 1.8million because there isn't even rumors about it being that number so you must have just made it up.

It can only be a good thing for a boxing event to be so successful and capture a wide audience, even if it did put people off it would only be for future Mayweather or Canelo PPV events anyway.

BQ: Probably, a historic fight like Ali-Foreman was for free but PPV makes too much money for it to be abandoned.

Maybe, but the poor PPV numbers all fighters have experienced this year is more to do with the fact there have been way too many PPVs. In two weeks time, canelo-Lara will be the 5th PPV this year. With canelo mayweather and pacquiao there will be at least 8 by the end of the year and it could be 10 with cotto and chavez. You can't expect people to put there hand it there pocket that much.

I thought it shattered the PPV Oscar and Floyd set in 2007!

Good for may, bad for everyone else. No one wants to see a boring predictable one sided fight bq. Yeah like back then

1.8 million? I thought it did 2.2 or something like that, or was that just bullsh*t?

My question to you is, do you think Cotto vs Canelo will do higher PPV numbers?

it means 1.8 million fans learned their lesson well...

avoid gettin robbed again of their hard earned $

It was 2.2 Million buys.

Sorry to ask a Question about business boolshlt but do you think that exposing such a large audience to such a dull dreary fight has put off many people buying PPVs?

This is of course a good thing in a way for American fight fans as they might lower the price soon, what do you think?

BQ: Would it be better to have no PPV's and just have normal televised cards?
