How would Manny Pacquiao of 2009/10 do against these legends?

Hi Ghazan. Good matchups. Manny Pacquiao was a dominant force around 2009 and 2010, and this is how I'd think he would do against great fighters.

Manny Pacquiao

vs. Thomas Hearns (1981).

As much as I respect Manny Pacquiao, Thomas Hearns was pound for pound one of the biggest punchers in boxing. He was knocking out fighters from Welterweight to Cruiserweight! Plus Thomas Hearns in 1981 was around his prime. Manny Pacquiao has been knocked out before. Maybe the ones in the beginning of his career don't count, since he was still young, but recently against Juan Manuel Marquez, and Marquez is no Hearns. Yes, he got caught with a picture perfect shot, but Hearns is too strong of a puncher. Even though Pacquiao was dominating those times, this is a nightmare.

Hearns KO2.

vs. Julio Cesar Chavez (1990)

Around 1990, Chavez was undefeated around 70-0. This fight would be a dream fight, and an all out war. This fight could go either way, in my opinion, with both fighters

fighting toe to toe trading shots in an all out war and fight of the year, but Pacquiao would take a very close split decision.

Pacquiao SD12. Chavez would win a split decision in a rematch.

vs. Pernell Whitaker (1993)

Pernell Whitaker is one the best defensive fighters of all time. He had a controversial draw with Julio Cesar Chavez, and some believed Whitaker won this fight. However, this fight, I think Pacquiao's volume of punches would outwork Whitaker, and he would take a unanimous decision.

Pacquiao UD12.

vs Felix Trinidad (1999)

I think Trinidad was too strong for Pacquiao. Pacquiao would do well early on, but Trinidad would wear Pacquiao out, and stop him in the middle rounds.

Trinidad TKO6.

He would have a puncher's chance against Hearns and Trinidad, but I only realistically see him having a chance against Trinidad.

Pacquiao doesn't have the speed of Meldrick Taylor, nor the boxing or defensive skills of Whitaker and nobody knocks out a prime Chavez so he will go down in the eighth to Julio.

Leonard couldn't bother Hearns with his speed at all and Manny doesn't have the chin to get in close to Hearns so that one is a fifth round KO.

Pernell is too slick and a better counterpuncher than Marquez so that one will be an easy UD for "Sweet Pea"

Finally, I feel that Felix Trinidad would blast him out of there faster than anybody including Hearns. These matchups are all wrong for Manny, mostly because of size, but then again, Chavez and Whitaker at lightweight still beat him. Manny goes 0-4 against these guys.

He would lose against Hearns. He would probably be stopped in a close fight. Hearns is too tall and too big for 147.

He would beat Chavez. Manny is too fast and attacked from all angles. Chavez was just another Cotto or De La Hoya that just stood still and came straight forward. Manny by TKO in 11

He would beat Whitaker by a split decision. It would be close though with both having difficulties, with each other. It would be more boring than a lot would expect.

I'm pretty sure he would win a UD over Trinidad. He was really tough I see Manny hurting him throughout the fight but never knocking him out.

He might hold his own against Trinidad, but Hearns is too tall and strong, Chavez could not be hurt and would eventually beat Pacquiao into submission, Whitaker is too fast.

So I have him losing to three with an outside chance in winning one, and the possibility of upsetting another but not much of a chance and that would be Whitaker.

Pacquiao vs Hearns - Good match but ultimately i see Hearns height and reach being too much for Manny so Hearns win by unanimous

Chavez- What a fight this would be, this fight would not go the distance, i think Mannys speed is a huge factor. this fight could go either way

Whitaker- I give it to Whitaker, Pacquiaos weakness is guys who box him and i believe Whitaker would outbox him and his defense would give manny problems so Whitaker by Unanimous

Trinidad- With Mannys style and Trinidads power, this would not go the distance either, I would say Manny loses by knockout, but Manny does has a solid chin and packs a punch too so this too could go either way

Hearns would have too much of a height advantage so I give that to hearns

Chavez had a great chin so no way is he knocking him out I believe chavez would UD or tko him in the late rounds.

sweet pea by a wide UD his defense is to good.

it could go either way with trinidad but trinidad would have a good height advantage.

He beats all of them except Hearns because of Hearns size advantage.

Chavez sr and Trinidad are to slow to beat Pacquiao Pacquiao would out punch them.Pacquiao would tko Chavez sr by cuts.Manny Pacquiao vs Whitaker would be a close fight but Pacquiao would steal the fight in the later round.Whitaker does have the speed and defense but he doesnt have the power and activity to keep Pacquiao off him.

He'd beat Chavez and Whitaker. Hearns and Tito might be too big and too strong for Manny.

now that pac lost....

easy to say pac aint got no chance against your "legends"

but what will chavez do against the prime barrera or morales?

how about hearns against margarito?

or trinidad against cotto?

pac will run over whitalker like a road kill dude!!!

If he fought them in there prime without catch-weight and without a rehydration clause it would be:

LOSS

LOSS

LOSS

LOSS

How would Manny Pacquiao of 2009-2010 who crushed Hatton,Cotto,Clottey and Margarito do against these legends

all these fights are at welterweight

vs Hearns (1981)

vs Chavez(1990)

vs Pernell Whitaker(1993)

vs Felix Trinidad(1999)
