I want to start boxing how long do you have to go till they let you spar usually?

I'm 28 so want to get moving could i HAVE MY FIRST FIGHT AFTER ABOUT 4 MONTHS?

Depends on what the trainer is like, a good boxing gym should let you spar straight away with people similar to you or I remember when i started i sparred with kids and i wasnt allowed to hit them back which teaches you quickly how to slip and use your feet lol obviously you will be useless at first but you will pick it up eventually. Even if your a fast learner 4 months probably wont be enough it will probably take around 6-12 months before you will be ready to fight at amatuer novice level

When I started MMA a few months back they let me spar lightly against someone who had also not long been fighting for long, so it was a fairly close, enjoyable fight. then during time they put me against slightly better people so I would improve as a fighter. This should also apply to boxing as you only really improve when you are fighting another person, not when you are just hitting pads.

Always train hard as possible so when your trainer see's you put that work in he'll probably come to you himself and ask you to spar if not you could say it to him, by a gum shield head gear and hand wraps and a groin protector :)

it depends I had my first sparring.after 3 months and fought in a championship after 7 months

Get a gum shield and tell them you've boxed a few years back or something so they think you've got experience it worked for me

Sometimes it depends on your progress. I only do boxing in the summer.
