Is renting a cabin for a bachelor party a horrible idea ?

Who is your brother's best man? It's the best man's job to plan the bachelor party. Also, typically the guests are consulted for ideas on how to spend the party, not the groom.

Sounds awesome, actually. Bachelor parties are about the guy getting married doing what he likes to do a last time without the wife having any say...so, if he wants to rent a cabin and shoot the sh it with his good friends, do it. If you think there should be more activity, bring the fishing poles, hold em, horseshoes, cornhole...whatever activities most people enjoy doing.

To some people, going to clubs and picking up on chicks is idiotic and douchy...and they would be correct.

From the point of view of the owner of the cabin, renting it to 15 guys who are going to get bombed out of their minds is probably a terrible idea. From the point of view of the guests, it depends on the guests. Some might think it's just fine, some may think the way you do.

Yes, it does sound boring. I am not real keen on "traditional" bachelor parties either, as they tend to be embarrassing and disrespectful of women.

Have some planned activities. There can be some sex jokes etc; I don't mean to be a prude, but just don't over-do that part.

Great idea, just make sure everyone brings a sleeping bag......lol......no drunk drivers, they can all crash on the floor.

My brother wants to invite 15 guys overmuch, rent a cabin, and spend all day drinking for his bachelor party. As the best man I think this will be boring as hell and really selfish given there are guys flying into town for this. I though bachelor parties was about bars and strip clubs and giving the other guys a chance to pick up girls at clubs. Isn't renting an isolated cabin so 15 guys can just drink just an idiotic and boring idea ?'
