Old boxers are over rated ?!?

well obviously with advances in technology it is easier for a boxer to condition himself for a fight but there is much more to consider than just that.

Boxers who know what they're doing ''hug'' [tie up] when they need to, including in the first rounds.

Watch Tillis vs prime Tyson. The reason Tillis did so well even though he was a senior citizen was because from the get-go he held [hugged] Tyson in the inside. Why? It wasn't because he was tired, it was because he didn't want to let Tyson fight inside thus he hugged him.

Watch Rocky Marciano vs Ezzard Charles 1.

They were hugging from the first round, but watch how the last round ended. Name me any heavyweight ever who finished a 15 round fight like that

THose guys are a million times tougher. they fought for crap money 15- 20 rounds and fought 10 times a year. Gotta give them respect. If boxers today fought more often i'd bring more fans

Thats a generalistion......there were/are good/bad fighters in both eras......but i see your point....there are better training facilities now.

you don't know anything about boxing. leave this site.

old boxers such as marciano joe louis ezzard charles etc are all over rated. it was a strong era but they wouldnt stand a chance against later boxers they were too unconditioned as you see when you watch their fights they hug in the first round? its like they didnt even train?
