Super middleweight division will soon become the best in boxing.Agreed?

Yeah, I absolutely agree.

But, it was already the best in 1990s- early 2000s. With the decline of Mike Tyson, Heavyweight Boxing had also declined. This left room for Super Middleweight Class to be the best. Remember when Oscar De La Hoya replaced Mike Tyson as the Boxing Icon and hottest thing in boxing in 1997, after the Bite Fight.

With Oscar De La Hoya as the Boxing Icon, Supper Middleweight Class was then the best ever. The fight with Oscar grossed more than Heavyweight.

Yes it will. I will answer this more thoroughly this afternoon after church. There is a superb blend of talent in this division sir with fighters like Ward, Froch, Kessler, Steigitz, Bute, Dirrell, Abraham and Sturm just to name a few but with the possibility of some other noteworthy fighters moving up from middleweight making for some potential great match ups in the future. Right now this division is making a strong case as the best in boxing and certainly the most exciting division.

It'll be a very good one and probably the best for an American or European audience. You'll be hard pushed to find a deeper division than the Flyweight division however with the likes of Yaegashi, Estrada, Igarashi, Saludar, Mthalane, Viloria, Marquez, "Bomba" Gonzalez, Segura, Sosa, Reveco, Fuentes, Melindo, Concepcion, Solis, Kogawa, Nawaphon, Ruenroeng, Porpramook and the McArroyo twin.

Insane division and it's likely going to see an addition of Roman Gonzalez.

The problem with this answer, and I'll admit it, is that very few fans get to see the little guys in the sport, though in terms of match ups and raw talent there really is nothing that touches it right now.

Yes definitely. Abraham and Stieglitz always make an exciting fight and with Felix Sturm too, super middleweight could become the best division. It only lacks a Mayweather or Broner character, a bling-bling multi-millionaire!

Froch isn't even a P4P fighter and yeah right.

i'm talking both excitement and skill. We already have two top 10 p4p fighters in the division (Froch and Ward) and many other great talents like steiglitz, kessler, bute, dirrell ect.with talented guys like groves, degale and oosthuizen on the rise and with golovkin talking of moving up it looks as though we are in for some real wars.maybe even some great trillogies like the one already started between groves and degale.between all these guys there is a great mixture of skill and power that when gelled , will allow the division to showcase some real thrillers.

lets hope ward sticks around at 168lbs as there are some real legitimate threats coming his way.i think with this rising talent he has the stage to become arguably the greatest super middleweight of all time

i think the division will really shine in 2014 and burn even brighter in 2015
