Among the pro ranks, I don't think this 17 year gap has ever been done before. It only shows how much money, and not merit, rules the sport today, as opposed to generations in the past.

Hopkins and Jones Jr. "attempted" many times to fight but the fight never came off. Each side could not meet the other side's demands.

Again, Ego is usually the primary culprit when fights that should happen don't happen.

Roy was the draw but Hopkins made unrealistic demands

When Roy fell from grace, the fight lost it's luster.

Neah, Hopkins has proved that he has Roy Jone's callling card. Hopkins could neutralize Jones on the outside with his defensive jab, and the inside is easy money for Hopkins.

3rd fight Hopkins wins, Jones' scared.
