James Toney hand speed?

As a middleweight and at super middleweight, did James toney have great hand speed or average hand speed?

I'd say average to above average, he always looked a bit soft at 160, as in he probably weighed 180 by the time he stepped in the ring. He had more speed than power.

James Toney did have Good Hand Speed I would say that it was around average though. James Toney was a very very very Good Middleweight Fighter.

At 160 to 168 James was world class, his hand speed was very good, unfortunately for James he was compared to Roy Jones Jr. quite possibly history's fastest, so we remember Jones making James look like he was moving in slow motion. Few if any remember the left hook that flattened Michael Nunn we all remember James windmilling backwards trying to regain his balance after Jones leaped in this a shot that was more hip than punch. Later in his career James humiliated himself, but as a middle weight and super middleweight he was actually one of the most talented boxers of his era. It didn't help his cause that he was an obnoxious jerk, but you had to respect his ability in the boxing ring. The stupidity of his MMA attempt and his heavyweight transformation were detractors from an otherwise hall of fame career,

He's kinda slow
