What a disgusting and horrible fight. How bad is Wlad to watch?

The ref was a disgrace, he allowed over 250 clinches, at any other sport u commit a fraction of that many fouls and your disqualified, not in boxing where the officials are disgraceful unprofessional scumbags. Emmanuel Steward would disapprove of this garbage

Both Vitali and Lewis would put a dog leash on Wlad, cause if u take his size advantage away then hes an average fighter. Let me break it in P4P terms:

Take Wlad's size away and leave his skills the same, how would his skills fare against other elite fighters in different divisions, how will a fighter with no chin who only has 3 punches in his arsenal and cant fight in close range beat a Floyd, Marquez, Adrien Broner, Roman Gonzalez Rigondeaux, Golovkin etc... u have to have many dimensions to be semi-competitive against these guys. Wlad's skills wont do dog sh*t against these complete fighters.

Wlad's best asset is his size and his jab, thats it. BTW he cant jab against a moving target like Riddick Bowe or Foreman did, he only gets away with those flaws cause of his size and the poor state of today's HW

This was a disaster and every bit of what happened tonight was Klitschko's fault alone!

Any objective and unbiased referee should have f*****g disqualified him! Seriously WTF was that??!!! Is that how a heavyweight champion of the world conducts him self in the ring??? Wrestling, throw-downs, tripping opponent to the floor?!! Two of those knockdowns were obvious pushes and that last leg trip when the referee took the point away - that was so blatantly deliberate, he should have been disqualified right there! He was fortunate that Luis Pabon is a frightened b***h who wouldn't do his job and let him get away with that.

For the first time in years Wladimir fought a man who could get past the jab and fire his hooks in - and that was his solution. Hold, clinch, trip, wrestle, push down and if there is any sign that a fight might take place - kill it right away. He really ought to be ashamed of him self because the way he behaved in this fight was an absolute disgrace for any fighter, let alone heavyweight champion of the world.

You can't blame Povetkin for what happened here. He came to fight, tried his hardest to force the action and, despite of all the Klitschko's bulls*** and dirty tricks, fought fair and square from the opening to the final bell. If he had a real referee in there, his performance might have been much different.

Okay, Wlad won.

Yeah, I've said this before - most heavyweights today tire out after 5 or so rounds. Most of Wlad's fights are complete bore-fests, and this is coming from someone who loves the oldies back from the early 1900's.

Holding wasn't the big issue really, my issue was with Wladimir throwing povetkin down. Very un-sportsman like, people rave about the K brothers having class and bla bla bla, but I don't think he has much class. He beats a load of mediocre fighters, smaller guys who can't do sh** in the ring. And then david haye who could have done a lot more.

i don't want to repeat my previous post....but this fight sums up Wlad's career in a nutshell.

he held every conceivable advantage over his opponent, and even had his opponent on the verge of stoppage, yet he never looked like the superstar he supposedly is, and his outclassed, outmatched opponent made it to the final bell

i was surprised to see such rough house tactics from Klitchko, and i think if he was gonna fight dirty like that, he should have at least pressed for the KO

it is sad, because up until the first Lamon Brewster fight, i actually used to find Wlad to be an exciting fighter. that fight seemed to change him forever....

may be it earned him more accolades and a longer career, but surely not more fans.

in fact, i remember the Ks used to be accepted in the US, and had a healthy contingent of American fans

but not anymore, no one outside of communist Europe, where they eat snow all day gives a rats azz about these two guys and their legacies....its a shame really, these guys should megastars putting on thrilling exhibitions of talent

i would rather watch the limited Tommy Morrison any day over these two "fighters"

they have turned boxing from a man's game into something less. i would rather watch two Wall Street bankers fight each other in an office break room than these two clowns

Kids also say Floyd Mayweather and Guillermo Rigondeaux ''have no killer instinct'' and that they just run/hold or are boring.

The fact is that Wladimir has broken several historical records on boxing defenses, he's 1 of the best ever and he doesn't take risks if there is no need for it.

Looked on some boxing forums to keep upto date on this fight and it sounds ******* awful.

But good Job I didn't watch the Undisputed Hugging champion hug the hell out povetkin.

What were the crowd like?

Edit:

@Knight De La Barre: your hero got beat by a Shot ATG.

I didn't like it, but it was the refs job to stop him from holding so much. He did not so Wladimir kept doing it.

HE didn't take anymore risks than he had to, what's the difference between that and what Mayweather does?

The fight was crap though.

i think they should pause the time during clinches for him and ya he should of been dqed what a pussay way of fighting dana white says alot of bad things about him and then he ran into him and i guess chuck liddel was gunna fight him or something in like a restaurant or something ya idk i want to see boy kickbox overeem, the last thing you wanna do is clinch with overeem

Shut up jealous Niqquaqqer and go back to the fields. Who asked your worthless opinion and allowed you to speak in the first place? I agree though, I didn't enjoy seeing two great E.Euros fighting each other. Povetkin lost his 0 from the only boxer who can beat him in the world today.

edit

Olukayode, hey boy....are we talking about the same ATG who got KO'd by some bums and was losing in all scorecards in his fight vs Vitali and when the ref stopped the fight the whole crowd applauded Vitali as the winner? The same clown who promised a rematch but later wasn't even man enough to keep his word and retired because his mommy said "Please don't fight this man. I saw it in his eyes that he's gonna hurt you"

Bottom line....EASTERN EUROS SHOULD NOT FIGHT EACH OTHER. THIS IS WHAT WE WANT TO SEE:

This is why nobody cares about Wlad.

The WORST killer instinct I've ever seen. Povetkin was a dead man on his feet after seven rounds, he had nothing for Wlad at all.

But what does Wlad do? In his typical fashion, he just holds onto Povetkin and doesn't even try to finish. IT's ridiculous, he could've put Povetkin away easily, and Povetkin was at like 10% after the first half of the fight.

The ref was complete sh*t too. All they did was hold eachother, and he finally takes a point in the second to last round? Yeah man, that'll really keep them from holding eachother when they've been doing it for literally twenty minutes.

Wlad is one of the best punchers in boxing, with great technique and he fights in top three one of the worst divisions in the sport.

Does Wlad have the worst killer instinct in the sport? He has a lot of knockouts, yes, but he doesn't go after people and is way too safety oriented.

That fight was disgusting. Boring and pathetic.

Keep hating but that doesn't change the fact that he won. He beat him fair and square.
