Why is everybody hyping Golovkin?

Nobody is calling him fighter of the era quite yet. He is a promising fighter, but he still hasn't fought top tier fighters.

90% KO ratio - never been KOed or even KD.

easy: fighter of the current era, better than Klitschko or Mayweather, despite the different weight classes.

For me Golovkin proved to be a great fighter vs Ishida. Golovkin was the first boxer ever to KO Ishida and did it early....can't remember the exact round but was 100% the first 5 rounds, 3 or 4 or so.

GGG also has very good left hook, the best jab for his weight, takes punches extremely easily. Can't really think of anything he's been doing wrong - he is not a "dirty" boxer....nor has he tendency to 'clinch;.

If you still insist for anything negative...then take a look at his left jab or his guard when the opponent is having a "good streak" - he has tendency to protect the head far better than the body....which isn't a huge problem so far considering how bad most of his opponents are but Ishida and Macklin were NOT nobodies. He's already proven himself. I am looking now up to the Rubio fight. KO for GGG in the 8th round.

Its GGG's performance in the ring that people keep noticed of. He's no hype job, believe me.

You're saying Geale look scared. Nobody's scared of a hype job, correct?

For Geale there's a reason to be scared in there inside the ring. And that's GGG not the ref.

Because he's taking care of business in the ring and minding his own outside it.

He's resume is far better than Wilder's.

And if Geale looked scared then it's because he knew he was in there with a beast, I mean, he never looks scared right?

i think his level of competition is better than most fighters

just cause you dont know the fighters doesn't mean theyre nobodies lol

Rosado, Geale, Stevens, Macklin, and upcoming Rubio are all somebodies and ranked high within their dividion before fighting them

They might not be the BEST of competition, but they are all still competitiv

Because he deserves it! He's probably the best boxer in the world at the moment

I understand he didn't foght anyone, but he is heavily skilled, and has a belt. I can't see anyone at 160, beating him.

Why is everybody hyping up Golovkin??? The GGG prodigy has surely looked good against his last fights but in my opinion he has been fighting nobodies. Geale looked scared to fight. Don't give me wrong Golovkin is a nice guy I met him during the Cotto vs Martinez fight but I truly don't think he is all that.
