If Maidana pull an upset it will be as huge as Duran beating Leonard and surely Floyd will ask/demand a rubber match. Given Arum's bias towards Pacquiao in terms of higher purse and lion's share of the PPV despite the opponent's stature as defending champion ( as in JMM 1 and 2, Diaz and Cotto fights ), among other terms and conditions attendant to a fight, I think Maidana would be more predisposed to a third bout with Floyd. At least, Maidana still stands to earn more fighting Floyd again in the USA despite the improbability of a 50/50 split than fighting Pacquiao most possibly in Macau as a fight between two non-Americans in the USA will not be as enticing to American fans. It promises to be the 2010s version of the Leonard-Duran trilogy of the 80s.

Yes ,I can definitely see that fight happening if Maidana pulls of the upset ,but first ,Manny Pacquiao has to worry about Chris Algeri November 2nd ,his hand speed and good fundamentals could present more than enough problems for Pacquiao.

Maidana on the other hand stand little to no chance if Mayweather chooses to fight Maidana the way he did Canelo Alvarez.

I think the contract will prevent Maidana from getting a fight with Pac. Fraud is just too clever he will make sure than he can get back at Chino right away.

Should Maidana pull off an upset... There is only two items left for El Chino to complete his career....

1) Give Mayweather the rematch the world will be screaming for...

2) Win, lose or draw.... Bring the curtain down on his illustrious carer, and ride off into the sunset a multi-millionaire and enjoy life...
