Old School vs Modern School, who wins these 5 battles?

1. Nigel benn knocks him out. I'm biased I guess cause he's my favorite fighter but I'll justify it anyway. Lamotta was an aggressive fighter with little power, therefore tailor made for benn. Benn wasn't a great boxer but hes one of the hardest punchers p4p of all time. i know lamotta was a much better boxer with a much better resume' but I reckon he gets chinned in a shock upset.

2. This is a hard fight. Oscar gets underrated a little these days for being a trannie and coming out second best in a lot of his big fights but a determined and prime Oscar will give anyone hell, Oscar had a big heart and he would make it a close fight but I'd go with a prime, alcohol free napoles to take it. His harder punching would stop alot of oscars attacks and flurrys.

Monzon is too big and strong. I see him pressuring Martinez, walking him down and finally landing a bomb to stop Sergio late in the fight. Martinez would move well and box but sooner or later he would get caught.

4. This would be a mismatch. Jack would never have seen anything like wladimir or know how to get past his huge size and jab. Johnson was from a different era where he counterpunched and didn't move much as the fights were so long. Wlad would KO him early.

5. Another mismatch. I like Haye but Marciano would walk right through him and knock him out in the mid rounds. Haye would move well and avoid exchanging with him but run out of stamina sooner or later. An old Carl Thompson tired Haye out and stopped him. Marciano had great stamina, a great chin and a great punch. He would stop David at any stage of Hayes career.

Nigel Benn vs Jake Lamotta: Historically a good matchup regarding legend status. Fighter to fighter, a bad one. Nigel Benn was a vicious puncher (remember what he did to McClellan) and I dont think Lamotta had EVER fought anyone that his as hard. Lamotta may finish on his feet, but he would be worse for wear.

Oscar De La Hoya vs José Nápoles: Oscar did horribly at middleweight, he only wandered up there once or twice and in both fights (Felix Sturn and Bernard Hopkins) he got pretty manhandled. Not really a good matchup.

Carlos Monzon vs Sergio Martinez: Sergio has benefitted from not fighting heavy handed boxers...who could actually box. Carlos Monzon was a nightmare....the problem is that Sergio couldnt one punch stop him...point blank. It would go later rounds and Monzon would murder his body and head every second of the fight. Mismatch.

Wladimir Klitschko vs Jack Johnson: I wish I could say this would be closer, but Wlad is just too big a guy to give many people historically a good chance again. His weak chin does give hope, but I dont think Johnson would have a good style to match him. He would be giving away almost six or seven inches in height and DEFINITELY wouldnt be the stronger guy.

Rocky Marciano vs David Haye: Now honestly of all the matchups you thought up, THIS is the most debatable....and has a "could go either way" factor that goes off the charts. Marciano as strong as he was, was not a one punch knockout guy. His punches wore you down over time. Between his excellent training and endurance, he could give anyone the blues for 15 rounds. HAYE on the other hand, DOES have one punch knockout power, in either hand. He would definitely be the physically strongest AND fastest opponent that Marciano would have faced....consequently Marciano would be the smallest with the least of reach. An arguement could be made that in the early rounds, Haye could very easily flash knock out Marciano and end the fight early....but as each round went by...if he did not...the fight would begin to favor Marciano and his merciless style.

But first he would have to catch Haye.....so who knows?

1) Nigel Benn UD. Jake LaMotta was all chin no skill.

2) De La Hoya TKO 7. Too fast and skilful for this one.

3) Carlos Monzon KO 10. Aggression with the skill to back it up.

4) Klitschko TKO 11. Jab, jab, jab...

5) David Haye by decision. In modern gloves Marciano will barely have a power advantage and will be outboxed by Hayes speed and skill. Marciano's chin saves him.

You can't compare heavyweights of different weight classes. Guys with 50 pounds on you will have a big advantage that's the sad truth. But if they were the same weight...

5: Jack Johnson

4: Very tough but I give it to Marciano.

12 rounds, modern rules!

1. Nigel Benn vs Jake Lamotta at middleweight

2. Oscar De La Hoya vs José Nápoles at welterweight

3. Carlos Monzon vs Sergio Martinez (All Argentine Battle with the God of Football Diego Maradona first line)

4. Wladimir Klitschko vs Jack Johnson at Heavyweight

5. Rocky Marciano vs David Haye at Cruiserweight
