Quillin vacates WBO title to not defend it against Koborov. Is he gunning for Danny Jacob's WBA title instead?

Was Koborov too big of a threat and too little of a reward? Do you think Koborov could have beaten him?

Yes. He is trying to win another paper title ( WBA regular ) in exchange to a paper title (WBO) he just vacates but for a bigger purse against a bigger named champion (Daniel Jacobs).

WBO is pressuring him to a fight where he cannot extract the most he can as a title holder.

WBO is also not fair as it applies different rules to different champions as far as mandatory defenses are concerned.

I hope so....Quillin vs Jacobs is a monster fight we've been waiting on.

I don't really care what Quillin does. If he can get a big fight then good luck to him. I'm more bothered about who will be fighting for the vacant WBO title, and I'm hoping its Korobov vs Billy Joe Saunders.

No he's just doing what his daddy Al Haymon says

He promised big plans after vacating his belt. I think a fight against Cotto or GGG is better than Korobov. He will get more exposure if he won.
