What can I make my boyfriend for dinner bearing in mind what he does and does not like?

Tonight I fried chicken breasts in a deep pan with lots of olive oil, and then added Egyptian pistachio dukka mix, fried it a bit longer so the dukka mix went crispy on the chicken (but don't let it burn), then poured the juice of a lemon into the whole pan and stirred it around. The oil, dukka and lemon juice made a really tasty sauce o go over the top of the fried chicken.

I served it with minted peas, baby spinach and jerusalem artichokes. Potatoes would be nice too.

.......

You can buy the dukka mix from some supermarkets, or make it yourself:

40g (1/4 cup) sesame seeds

75g (1/2 cup) pistachio kernels, finely chopped

3 teaspoons ground coriander

3 teaspoons ground cumin

1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

1 teaspoon salt

Step 1

Place the sesame seeds in a medium non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Cook, stirring often, for 5 minutes or until toasted and golden.

Step 2

Add the pistachio, coriander, cumin and pepper and cook, stirring, for 1 minute or until aromatic. Stir in the salt and set aside to cool. Grind half of it to a little powdery so it coats the food better.

You could do a roast, either chicken or beef, with potatoes, carrots, onions, etc. Throw on some garlic and thyme or rosemary and lots of salt and pepper and it's good to go. Dessert-- lemon pudding cakes (don't bother unmolding them, eat them out of the dishes):

Okay just that first sentence ''my knowledge on recipes is rather limited'' I seriously don't think anyone is able to help since you've only provided ''lemony things'' or maybe apple pie. But seriously, bake him something he will like.

Lemon Pepper Chicken.

give him treat in a restaurant he can like it

hey :)

my knowledge on recipes is rather limited, but i can follow one quite well. I want to make my boyfriend dinner as a surprise, something that he will really love but Im struggling to decide on a complete meal. He really likes sour, lemony tastes, and really does not like most sweet things like chocolate or cake or anything too sugary. He likes really 'homey' food, like real good home cooked meals. It doesnt have to be super quick or super easy to make, but bare in mind that I am no masterchef ;) any ideas on a full meal i could cook him?
