Ali vs Tyson. Who do you think would win and why?

Hi Danny. This would be the dream heavyweight matchup since so many people ask this question. Some say Ali. Some say Tyson.

First of all, Muhammad Ali has faced many hard punchers in his career, a lot of them punching harder than Mike Tyson. Ali faced Sonny Liston, Cleveland Williams, George Foreman, Earnie Shavers. He had his jaw broken by Ken Norton and kept fighting. He got dropped by Joe Frazier once in 45 rounds. He had a great chin and could take the shots of Tyson.

Next, Tyson and Frazier were somewhat similar. Swarmers. In his prime, Ali would probably keep him away with his jab, just like James Buster Douglas. Ali is far greater than Douglas, who had the best fight of his life. Ali had one of the best jabs in boxing history. So Ali's movements and jab would keep Tyson away, and Tyson will not be able to hit Ali. Once he does hit him, Ali will be able to take the punches.

Mike Tyson always had stamina problems, and never fought in 15 round fights. Ali would make him pay for that. Here's how the fight between my two favorite Heavyweights of all time would go.

Mike Tyson would start off trying to knock Ali out early. Ali's great movement will make it hard for Tyson to hit Ali. He'll even hit Ali a couple of times, with Ali being able to take it. Then in the middle rounds, Tyson will begin to gas out, and it will be Ali's time to operate. He will begin to box beautifully, and land clean shots. Tyson did have a very underrated chin. He'll take these punches well. In the twelfth round, Ali will begin looking for the knockout against an exhausted Tyson, and will knock Tyson down. Tyson will struggle to get up, and won't beat the ten count.

Ali KO12.

Of course it's Mike Tyson.

Muhammad Ali fought in a tougher era, yes, but it was so old schooled. The technique and art of boxing was so different back then. When you see Ali's matches, all Ali did was dancing all the night and just taunting his opponents all the time, until he had the opportunity to strike to get KO/TKO or UD. In Ali's time, that worked.

But, if Ali did in 80s, during Tyson's prime, sorry, times have changed. If Ali taunted and danced all the time, it would instead gave Tyson opportunity to strike him with KO punch. A prime Tyson is so fast. Tyson would catch Ali with his lethal uppercut and nailing him with bombs in the corner until either Ali went down or the fight got stopped. So, it's Tyson via KO/TKO with less than 8 rounds.

Ali would win no doubt. Tyson had trouble with boxers who didn't come straight towards him, ali would use his jab from the outside and after a few rounds tyson would slow down and get frustrated while ali picked him off from the outside. Ali by decision,

Tyson; good lord have mercy son.. One punch... He is mr. Brutal; Ali is a playa... I love Ali,, but Tyson is like a Rinoscerous and Ali is like the gazelle... But once Tyson connects, that's it! I mean down & out!

Mike Tyson in his prime would definitely win! when he was in his prime nobody was going to stop him until he got his belt. anyways ali had trouble with frazier. Tyson is much faster and stronger than frazier. Tyson Ko no more than 6 rounds.
