Anyone else lose respect towards Stevenson for his post-victory antics?

After his victory over Dawson he was jumping around like an absolute lunatic. Disrespectful and embarrassing.

Nah man, give the dude a break.

He just won the LINEAL light-heavyweight championship w/ a brutal first round KO, in his hometown.

It wasn't disrespectful, he was pumped and emotional. His adrenaline was probably bleeding out of his ears after that.

I don't see what was so bad about it. He jumped around and freaked out, then he started hugging his team and crying.

Natural reaction to me, even if he was all over the place. It's not like he stood over Chad and taunted him or did something classless like that.

EDIT: No I understand what you're saying, it's not something you see very often. But Adonis ALWAYS does that.

When he crushed people like he did tonight (which is basically every fight), he freaks the f*ck out. He's just an amped dude, if it was fake that'd be one thing, but Adonis is crazy and authentic when it happens.

That's the mind-state some people get in when they fight, testosterone and adrenaline is some legit sh*t (especially when it comes to fighting).

I think he was really happy because I think he himself expected a harder fight. He landed a punch beautifully on Dawson and if the ref allowed it to continue I don't think Dawson would have been able to come back into the fight. I'm not in Dawson's body, so I can't give an honest answer on how hurt he was. I however do know that he was laying on the ropes as if he was hurt and he didn't seem all there when the Ref was talking to him.

No not al all, firstly Chad Dawson showed him disrespect before the fight so he has every right, secondly he has been chasing the Super Middleweight IBF title for a long time and at 35 he finally got a shot at the Light Heavyweight WBC Title in front of his fans. Thirdly it was a brutal KO, fourthly he was a massive underdog.

Not really

It's not like he 20 or 21. He started boxing at 29 after 2 years in prison and at 35 had to know he doesn't have many years left

It was a great punch and he probably deserves to celebrate and make some money in the ring while he still can

I agree with stick and move! Dude is just an excitable guy that cant believe he's victorious, basically he's an underdog college basketball team winning a game in the NCAA tournament.

Yeah, he was acting like a black man in a room full of white women

To be fair, he did just win a world title after knocking out the best figher in the division

How can people have any respect for Stevenson in the first place? Read his back story.

I still think he is a bum, but really how would you react if you became the Light Heavyweight champion of the world?

Yes overreaction for sure..
