How will boxing improve me?

Boxing will definitely help with punching power and punching speed. Boxing will give you the form to do great things. It will also teach you how to defend yourself without experiencing damage.

Yeah, it will. You will certainty have advantage over an untrained opponent. My best advice to avoid fights is to have few friends, ignore bullies, don't get into drama, only date the "smart girls", don't be a pussy, and continue learning to box. That way, you will get into few fights, but when you do you can kick there ***.

Through a boxing performance it is probable to enhance physical capabilities to new heights. It is compared many times to training methods of a fight gym in combination with technical based strength and conditioning. The sport performance is broken down into four key points of trainings.

1. Training in technique

2. Training in explosiveness

3. Training in boxing conditioning

4. Training in general strength and conditioning

It certainly will. When I first started, I wasn't as disciplined nor wasn't in my best shape. After 1.5 years of training, I've cutted down a lot of weight and worked harder at it. I'm pretty sure it'll help you in your life time.

I'm 16 and I'm starting to box. I'm about 5'10" and 135 lbs. I have been in a lot of street fights based due to poor judgement but I'm a different man than I used to be. When I fought I never felt like I was hitting hard but I've given a few people concussions. I'm just wondering if boxing will improve my punching power and my punching speed. I'm not trying to street fight anymore, but for boxing purposes I'm wondering if I will begin to punch harder and faster. And in what other ways will it improve me. Also, how good is it for self defense. My school is filled with thugs constantly jumping people and its getting worse. We had six fights today.. I'm not trying ti start any fights but I want ti be able to finish them if they happen.
