Floyd mayweather vs. Erislandy lara or Thurman.
Manny pacquiao vs. Ruslan provodnikov will be a great fight.
It would be the best fight for both fighters for sure.
That said there's no doubt in my mind that if a) Mayweather school Pacquiao people will say he waited for the perfect time to catch a faded Pacquiao b) Mayweather wins a 116-112 type decision people will say this showed that Pacquiao's style give Mayweather trouble and he would have destroyed Mayweather in 2010 (basically what people say about Oscar vs Floyd). c) Pacquiao will get full credit if he wins.
I'd still love to see this fight, especially if Pacquiao beats Bradley. But at the same time i am 99% that it won't do much more for Floyd's legacy if he wins because of what i mentioned above. Pacquiao is in a great position if this fight happens.
There are other fights out there for them both, but none will be as lucrative and big. If Pac whups Bradley, there's a 5th fight with Marquez that can still be made, and a Pac fight with Rusian Provodnikov would be an entertaining bout, while Mayweather has some fights out there for him too, such as a bout with Marcos Maidana, Amir Khan, or Danny Garcia, but the most logical fight that can be made for both of them in terms of money is if they fight each other.
If PAC beats Bradley then he will once again be the #2 P4P fighter and a win over Bradley is more significant than Floyd's recent win cause non of them were a top 5 P4P fighter
Of course that wouldnt stop the Flomos from insisting he must fight Marquez to "deserve" a fight with Floyd.
Floyd is the only logical opponent for Pacquiao but not the other way around. Yes, he is the best opponent for Floyd but Floyd does not need him. He was able to break 1 million PPV buys with Guerrero. He has already proven he is the best and is now just fighting the best AVAILABLE opponents. Pacquiao has no one to really fight because he fights only Top Rank fighters and they don't have any fighters for him to fight. Bradley is someone he has already fought so he doesn't count.
My hope is that Pacquiao leaves Top Rank and in 2015, maybe negotiations can take place. Even though I'm confident Floyd would win, I just want people to shut up about it already. I've moved on and look towards other fights in the future but some people just won't step off the train.
The only reason Pacquiao is fighting Bradley is because the BS results of their first fight. Otherwise, their would be no fight between them.
Floyd doesn't have many great options either unless he would be willing to move up in weight to fight Martinez or Lara. I doubt it. That's why I said Pacquiao is the best opponent for him but only if he was willing to do business with Top Rank. Unfortunately he is not and vice versa.
The fight is only for people who keep going on about it.
@INTREPID-Floyd's 0 means the same thing with or without Pacquiao. One victory does not define a fighter. Neither of them need each other. They have established their own legacies. It's the fans who won't shut up about that fight which is why they both have attempted to make the fight. Not for themselves.
But there are questions that have first to be answered: What will the purse/income sharing be? Will Manny agree to $40 million all-in? Will Floyd still dangle that same amount seeing how Manny's marketability has eroded lately? Who will promote the fight? Will Manny be free from Top Rank by that time? Who will have the broadcasting rights? HBO or Showtime? How about the OSDT? Will Pacquiao agree to REAL Olympic style random drug test that will take samples of his blood even near the fight, sometrhing he himself said he is aversed to? I doubt if OSDT was done on Manny and Rios in their last fight as Rios tested positive of illegal substance in the post-fight test.
Easier said than done, dude. Too much and formidable obstacles on the way.

Bradley is a really good boxer, as he showed against Marquez. I think Pac really needs to face Bradley, it would prepare him better to face Mayweather, as opposed to Rios - who has no footwork. In their first fight, Manny seemed too inactive against Bradley, like he wasn't at 100%. If Manny can fight all 12 rounds against Bradley with the same intensity he did against Rios and Marquez (prior to getting KO'ed), I think he can win by UD easily.
I would expect Mayweather to win against Pacquiao if they meet and I really don't care if he does as long as he faces him in the ring. Unlike Mayweather fans who are satisfied with their idol just keeping his 0-loss record without proving it. To me, that kind of attitude is nothing but fanaticism and not really being a boxing fan. It's a fake and idolatrous worship by people who can't handle the truth. Floyd is nothing but a phony and a big coward.

Mayweather himself said he takes fights with the least danger but with the most profit. I think he would still be able to beat Pac, but that says alot on Mayweather's willingness to make the fight happen. Boxing is business.
