If Ali had just one flaw in his fighting career, even as Cassius Clay, what was it?

As Cassios Clay, Ali was such a perfect fighter in every respect. But if you could pick just one flaw or fighting style that always gave him a rough night, what would it be?

He boxed with his hands down and he did not concentrate through out the whole fight.

You say he was a perfect fighter but a lot of things Ali did were wrong, he was so fast and had such good reflexes though he got away with it.

One flaw he had was that he neglected body punching, he probably only threw half a dozen or so body shots in his whole career. Another flaw he had was pulling his head back to avoid punches rather than ducking or blocking them.

Not enough body punches, and no combination. But he didn't need body punches, he was just too fast, and he could interrupt any combinations coming his way with his counterpunching. Ali is the greatest heavyweight to ever live, and the epitome of a textbook Outfighter.

Hands down is definitely the biggest flaw. Like the other guy said, only reason he got away with that was because of his reflex. There is nothing more I can possibly say. The body punching is also a mistake but I don't think it compares to the low hands.

Many will agree that although his 'dancing' and circling the opponent kept him out of range of punches while he landed jabs and tired the other guy chasing him,Ali did too much of it and not enough focused body punching and landing power shots to the head. But many will also say despite that,he was master of the ring and knew what he was doing.

I'm not going to try and top my friend Hairy Dudes answer as I agree with him 100% Great question too, thanks!
