Is it ok to be bias in Boxing?

De La Hoya didn't need to fight Mayweather to be recognised. For Oscar it was all about money! Mayweather had no profile outside of the USA before this fight. This fight put him on the global map. I agree with you that De La Hoya was way past his prime when he fought Mayweather, but credit to him, he pushed him close.

Canelo is a good boxer and he has steadily stepped up his level of competition. However I don't see his as becoming an all time great. I don't see what he has in his arsenal to trouble Floyd. I could be wrong, and it would be great to see Canelo defeat Floyd but I just don't see it happening.

No you do not seem stupid, but I have to tell you Floyd and Oscar didn't need each other to be recognized, they were both pretty well known long before they fought each other. The Alvarez fight is far more dangerous for Floyd than Oscar was, if for no other reason than the age difference and skill level of Alvarez. Floyd is 36 Alvarez 22 with one less fight and six more KO's than Floyd, both unbeaten. This is pretty similar to an aging DeLa Hoya facing a younger Mayweather. Oscar lost to Floyd but fought well early before fading, and the same scenario is at least a possibility for Mayweather against the younger Canelo. We will know for sure on September 14th, but one thing is certain, Floyd's critics can no longer claim Floyd is ducking competition, I cannot think of a tougher opponent below 160 lbs. for Mayweather to cdhoose.

Yeah I'm fine with you being bias Daphne.... And no you ain't stupid... Kinda average IQ.lol

you will nevah lan....

Here's the thing I know Mayweathers De La Hoya fight was big, it got him recognized. De La Hoya was past his prime though. I personally think this Canelo fight is bigger because it's evenly matched. So, do I seem stupid for thinking that?
