Manny Pacquiao: If im so easy, why wont floyd fight me?

Do you think floyd is just making excuses. He claims Manny is easy work but wont fight him. I know Bob Arum has a lot to do with this. But Floyd can still get a big paycheck.

At this point, Pacquiao NEEDS this fight. Win, lose or draw, it would certainly help his current financial woes. The tax problem will likely be solved. However, there are other problems.

.

Pacquiao has WAY too many hands in his pockets. Mayweather, on the other hand, has no Bob Arum or any other promoter taking a third of his purse.

.

Pacquiao's greatest weaknesses are his blind loyalty to Bob Arum and his inability to say NO to those who should say it to. His entourage is the size of a small city.

.

While both sides take part of the blame for the fight not happening, Bob Arum bares the bulk of the blame. I don't blame Mayweather for not wanting to work with Arum. He doesn't need him.

.

I also don't blame Mayweather for not giving Pacquiao half of the purse. Three years ago, when this fight should have happened, Mayweather was still his own promoter. While Pacquiao presented a strong argument for half, he certainly does not warrant it now, having been knocked out by Marquez.

.

Either way, Pacquiao needs this fight FAR more than Mayweather does.

Because as Floyd and his Dad already admitted, they care about Floyd's health and Floyd doesn't want to end up an invalid. He claims that his decision is the SMART thing to do. His fans must be in agreement with him as no fan of his has demanded that he fight Manny. All they do is make up excuses for him and just keep proclaiming that he is the best and that he doesn't need to prove it to them.

The trouble is, according some Golden Boy Promotions bigwigs, Bob Arum is acting as if he is the main promoter in this fight and is therefore calling the shot.

Like he did in the failed Donaire-Mares unification fight early this year where Arum offered Mares and GBP a paltry token sum ( half a million dollars in my recollection ) to free Mares for a fight with Nonito which GBP and Mares naturally turned down. GBP made a counter-offer which was much bigger, in fact more than double than the insulting amount Arum earlier offer, to make Nonito available for the fight to be promoted by GBP. But as could be expected Arum turned that GBP offer and instead pitted Donaire against in-house fighter Guillermo Rigondeux, and we knew what happened to Nonito there.

Last year, Arum again presented himself as the main promoter and booked a date in Las Vegas for a Pacquiao-Floyd fight without first consulting with GBP and Floyd. It turned out that the date penciled by Arum coincided with Floyd's serving his prison term for a domestic case. And when talks fell through as can be expected because of those slip-ups, Arum blamed Floyd and GBP again and proceeded to pit Manny against newly-signed ward Tim Bradley and we knew what happened to Manny there.

I think Manny has to realize that it has been Arum all along that's been putting stumbling blocks for that much-awaited fight.

I also believe that if Manny really wants that fight to happen and desires it more than anything else, he has to accept the fact that GBP and Floyd, not Top Rank and Arum, will have to call the shot.

Floyd is the top man now in boxing and if he wants a piece of Floyd, he has to do what he did in the negotiations in the De La Hoya fight where he agreed to a much lower share of the revenue but reaped the biggest dividend in the long term when he beat and retired Oscar. Plain as that, really where I sit.

If Floyd is avoiding Pacquiao, yet would take a riskier fight in Canelo Alvarez, it makes no sense. If JMM can handle Manny, so can Floyd. Mayweather might despise Manny and Arum so much he does not want them getting a big payday.

galactus answer is getting g@yer and g@yer...

Floyd and his fans can easily blame bob arum but at the end of the day boxing fans know that floyd is scared to fight pac...I myself dont know the reason why he is scared...When it comes to boxing, floyd is smarter than anyone of us...So i guess he knows something that we dont know about pac style...

This is not about the Who NEEDs Who...This is about you as a fighter...If half of the world think that you are scared to that person...And you did not do anything about it as a fighter...Then you must be scared...

If floyd is having a hard time beating judah when at that time he was in his prime...I think he also has a problem beating pac...Lets face it, pac is way better fighter than zab judah who gives floyd some problem...

lolz.. Floyd fans always claim, Manny is an easy fight for Floyd , while their idol is having a headache DUCKING Pacman

the trouble is, questions as simple as this, flomos tries to complicate...

they tried and failed to blame the debacle to pac,

so now its arum....

I'm a PacMan fan but I honestly believe that FMJ would win :(

Thats a fking big question Ritz. And the answer is very fking simple...

FEAR.

If he vacates the title he's clearly avoiding him.
