Martinez won right......?

Yeah. That was not a good showing for Martinez. Perhaps father time has caught up with him. It could also be that Murray is just a much much better version of Macklin and Barker, who gave Martinez trouble up until the later rounds.

Martinez apparently hurt his left hand sometime in the middle part of the fight as well. But, yeah, it sucks that one of the truly good guys in the sport has begun the downward arc of his career. I foresee a Mayweather fight by next year...

I had it

1 Martinez

2 Martinez

3 Martinez

4 Martinez

5 Murray

6 Murray

7 Murray

8 Murray (10-8 round)

9 Martinez

10 Murray

11 Martinez

12 Murray (close as hell final round!)

114-113 Murray.

I also feel that murray should of got the second Knockdown.

I feel sorry for murray cause hes been robbed twice.

Very close fight, but Murray should have been given credit for a second knockdown.Martinez banked many of the early rounds and you knew if it was close,he was going to get the decision no matter what.Murray should have been more active, especially since Martinez didn't seem to be able to hurt him.I though Martinez looked his age and i don't think he will get any better. The fights he takes from here on are all going to be tough for him.The Chavez fight might have been his last great performance, and it may also have taken a lot out of him.I always look forward to a Martinez fight, but he's going to be in trouble against GGG.

It could have gone either way. Martinez got knocked down twice. He did put up some good rallies towards the end of some rounds to maybe steal them away.

If you want to take someones belt, you have to do it convincingly and although Murray was convincing in many rounds, I felt he took his foot off the gas in the latter rounds instead of pressing Sergio some more.

Reminds me of the Cotto - Clottey fight where Miguel wasn't convincing enough and Clottey could have done a bit more to really convince people he wonn. In the closer rounds, the champion will get the benefit of the doubt and usually get the scoring his way.

I really think that Martinez was playing with him too much and let Murray get him. I do think that Murray did better than the judges said, but it was in Argentina, so it is expected. I had a 114-144 Draw

I agree with you

He won the fight. He might've had his troubles but I scored it 114-113 Martinez.

Martinez dropped his guard basically the whole fight and got caught a few times, and knocked down twice. But he won the rest of the rounds definitely by controlling his jab and range.

Have not seen the fight yet. But based on your observation, I think Martinez is slipping or has slipped a lot since the JCC Jr. bout. He fought in his native Argentina hence it's understandable for him to get the verdict.

i thought murray won but didn't do enough to actually win on argentinian soil.it was to close to give the foreign man the nod

Lets not kid ourselves.... Martinez was expected to put on a show for his fans, he was meant to carry Murray for a while before delivering the knockout....

Moving swiftly to reality....

Martinez was decked, got his face busted, ran out of gas, and had his eye split for his troubles..... But he still won.... Right??

Not making any comment - Probably get suspended if I did...

How did you see the fight guys....?
