Was it me, or Canelo outboxed the slick, fast and defense master Trout with ease?

I think a great factor in his win was his body movement.

No... It is you.

He didn't out box him with ease. He moved well and he surprised Trout (and probably everyone else) with his movement. It was ultimately the power that carried the day. Trout out worked Canelo, but Canelo's punches had more effect. It really depends on how you were seeing the fight. I think that the way it was called was crap. The commentators too often gave Trout credit for shots that were on the gloves, in the air, or rolled. Then they would miss punches that would back Trout off or stop his momentum. Trout did befuddle Canelo in the early part of the fight with that jab. It kept Canelo from steam rolling Trout like he had done to so many of his opponents. All in all it was a good, fairly close fight that I believe Canelo won. I still do not believe that he is ready for Mayweather. Trout made a good showing for himself and there is no shame in this loss. I think he can still do well at 154 and perhaps a rematch would end differently.

I doubt he is Eastern European. He is from Jalisco, a place that was very squarely Spanish and indigenous in make up. There was some French influence in the 1850 and 60's but nope, no Eastern European influence to speak of.

By the way. I am American born, but of Mexican heritage and culture, and a fan of Canelo. You just have to be objective.

Don't take credit from an albino mexican....he's just a recessive red. Canelo kicked *** like i expected, unlike Donaire, i was worried sick for Donaire way before and during his fight vs Rigondeaux.

Mayweather next....

hes race has nothing to do with it but anyways I'm glad omar and canelo won. No excuses Canelo has proven him self and passed the test :)

Canelo did box better than everyone..........especially Austin thought that he would

If this fight was any where but Tejas, Trout would have out pointed him.

No he never out boxed him LOL

Canelo reminded me of Joe Calzaghe and Golovkin at times. Perfect head movement, he fought with a plan and confidence, he toyed with the young, prime, slick man who made Cotto look like a joke! He landed all the solid punches while Trout didn't land a single power punch! I wanna see what the excuses will be now........Trout's a bum ala Lacey after Calzaghe fight, I bet.

All Canelo has to fix is his stamina and he will be p4p top 3 material. Great job, he silenced the critics.

He must be of EASTERN EUROPEAN heritage, BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
