Tying a heavy medal ball to his head and using his back neck muscles to lift it up is not healthy in my opinion, but it's his life career. Thats an area lots of wieght lifters use pain killers to stop the headaches and pain.

To pace himself for a twelve round fight. When did u ever see Floyd half gassed? Those technique help him be more efficient. Boxers who explode on the mits usually load on there punches and cant get the same performance over a 12 rounder.

Floyd focuses on quick bursts each round, preferably in the last few seconds before the bell rings, to leave a lasting impression on the judges. He probably got that from Ali and Ray Leonard.

I just got home and I'm tired, so I'll just copy and paste my answer from another question the other day where I kind of touched on his mitt-work routine a little, if you care at all to read it.
