I favor JCC against Pacquiao at 140 lbs. having fought at that weight longer and faced many of the best around in his day as Roger Mayweather, Hector Camacho, Meldrick Taylor, Sammy Fuentes, Greg Haugen, Frankie Randall, Lonnie Smith. Pacquiao had just one fight at 140, a 2nd round KO of Ricky Hatton. I think JCC outguts Manny to win by hard earned close decision.

But at welterweight, JCC was a nuisance, escaping with a lucky draw against Pernell Whitaker in a fight most saw as a rout for Pernell and losing twice to Oscar de la Hoya. I think prime Pacquiao would have beaten him by decision or even late round KO/TKO.

This would be fight of the year. Even though JCC is an ATG and probably the most recognizable Mexican fighter of all time, he couldn't handle Pacquiao's speed and aggression. They would trade, and it would be very exciting. JCC can't win this fight though. He doesn't have the timing, or the overall mind to beat PacMan.

I'm not knocking JCC, but he fought a lot of nobodies.

Chavez has better all-around skills, e.g. bodypunching and counterpunching, and he has granite chin that would withstand Pac's powershots. BUT, I don't think he'd cope up with Manny's SPEED. I think Pac would outbox JCC and win via UD.
