Yeah with 18 ounce gloves hit the double end bag as fast as you can for eight rounds. Your punching speed and accuracy and timing will improve alot.
While I noticed absolutely no improvement on speed whatsoever, I did feel better when throwing combinations. I could throw more, tire less. So, from my personal experience, it WONT give you add speed but it WILL add conditioning so it's a good idea to try it. That's just my personal experience at least :)
Shadow boxing to real boxing is like jacking off to real sex. So ask your self this, does jacking improve your sex life and you have your answer.

So I can only do Shadow Boxing due to certain circumstances like having no Gym near me. Will Shadow Boxing with 16 or 18 ounce gloves improve my hand speed and or Shoulder strength?
