Would canelo alvarez be a bigger threat to floyd mayweather jr than a prime manny pacquiao ?

i know manny is smaller than alvarez but who would of given mayweather a tougher fight

If he had better conditioning, yes. Manny Pacquiao in his prime isn't even a threat to Floyd Mayweather at 36 years old. He certainly not a threat to Floyd Mayweather in his prime because he is and always has been a fighter that relies and his speed rather than skill. Alvarez does no rely on his power, his speed, or his size. He fights very smart and is very patient for a fighter who has all the tools he possesses. His problem is his stamina. He fades too quickly.

Maybe an older Canelo, but not this young version. And, for the record, I was one that never believed Manny was much of a threat to beat Floyd. It was media hype and blinded fans who confused an exiting fighter with a great boxer. Manny would have been out-classed by Floyd, any weight, any age, any century. Just an opinion.

Mayweather is not in his prime anymore. He is just ring wise.

Canelo is stronger at his age and weight. Mayweather will be slower with less impact and vulnerable. He will have to rely a lot on his defense which has not been all that good recently.

canelo alvarez will not win nor a round.
