You have to respect Ricky Hatton for coming back against a guy like that.?

Most guys when they come back they fight guys that can't fight but Hatton fought a real fighter. He lost the fight but he has my respect as a true warrior.

Ricky Hatton was not a classy boxer, but what he lacked in skill, he made up for is sheer guts..

Hatton's fall from grace is well documented, he certainly ended up in the gutter - A self induced, alcohol and drug fuelled gutter... When Hatton did something, he put his heart ans soul into it - Even his own destruction.

To turn the tables and clean himself up, lose nearly 70lb, and become fighting fit again is to be admired..!

He needed one more shot at boxing.. He needed to know if he still had it... If he still even wanted it... he needed to exorcise his demons.

Hatton could have picked any second rate journey man, an easy fight to shake the cobwebs off, a fall guy.... he didn't.

After a roller coaster couple of years, a decent into depression and suicidal thoughts, he came straight back with a top ten ranked contender.... Senchenko.

In true Hitman style.... He went straight in there... Threw caution to the wind and tested himself at the highest level..... He lost, but he sure as heck went out like a man, and the champion that he was!

I don't care who you are, it is a bad idea to take on a top boxer after years of treating your body like $h!t with bad eating habits, drugs, and alcohol. You have to ease your body back into it regardless of what your head or your heart says. Your body can only do so much.

It was not a good move for himself and it was not a good move for all of us boxing fans who really wanted to see him climb back to the top

I do respect Ricky Hatton for taking such a tough fight after taking 3 1/2 years off and he was winning the fight up to the liver shot that floored him.

I told everyone before the fight with Senchenko that Hatton should have taken a couple of tune-ups before fighting a top 10 welterweight but i got thumbs down ,i bet same people that gave me thumbs down thinks differently now.

Showing the euros a lot of love today Flash.....are you feeling OK?

It was much better than amir khans so called comeback.

Don't get me wrong, Khan did do good against Molina, but it would've been better if he came against someone the world of boxing actually knows.

Well I already had lots of respect for Hatton before but you do have admire the way he came back to fight an opponent like that especially after how he ended his career, but then I was also slightly annoyed. Thats because if he picked an easier opponent with less rounds then maybe, just maybe he could have re-ignited his career even if he wasn't the same fighter.

It was a body shot that finished him in the late rounds after he'd started to fade, and they say body shots hurt lots more when you have lost weight and damn did Ricky lose a lot of weight fast. If he had picked an easier opponent then lets say it was 6 rounds, he could of won and then trained after.

Now don't think I'm saying that he could've been back to his best but I could still imagine him getting back to world level. Infact I was against him coming back but still, I have mad respect for the guy and always will.

i give credit to hatton for taking on a rated opponent. he did it right.
