This will be an all out war and the slugfest will carry out as soon as the first round. We'll be seeing fireworks and the guy that comes on top will be the man possessing more speed. Bambam's come forward style will do him no good as PAc circles around him all night setting him up with thunderous lefts and rights. With that said, Rios was tailor made for PAcquiao. The spearhead straight lefts of the PAcman will find its mark most of the time giving Rios the 2nd loss of his career.
BQ: If Manny Pacman knocks out Rios in dramatic, crowd pleasing fashion, will the general public cling to this knockout and demand a Mayweather fight, even though Rios isn't exactly top level?
-For years, these two rivaled each other outside the ring. One, a superb offensive fighter, the other a defensive master. Fight fans around the world dreamed and wished they see these two in action before both fighters hang their gloves for good. Trust me bro, it's pretty much the same through the years although its kinda dwindled due to that knockout victory by JMM. If Manny Pacman knocks out Rios, the demand will get even higher
Except for the two Alvarado fights where Rios won the first by TKO and lost the second barely and to my eyes, undeservedly on points, there's not much to go by talking of Rios's worthiness beyond the lightweights and junior welterweights. True, Rios has been virtually a welterweight at fight time when he was still campaigning at 135 and 140 lbs. but officially Rios has to fight at 147 lbs. and against any fighter of note in the division.
If Pacquiao kayoes Rios, how significant would that be, even considering the ease with which the KO is achieved, as a basis for stronger clamor for a fight with Floyd Mayweather ? Rios people would say is a blown up lightweight who has yet to win a fight and is largely untested at 147 lbs.
I think Rios stands to benefit more by upsetting Pacquiao than Pacquiao by scoring an easy KO win over the American.
Rios has not even fought somebody like Juan Manuel Marquez at 135 or 140 lbs.
Pacquiao should dominate Rios easily. Rios is honestly not good at all. No movement at all, no speed, no boxing ability. All he has is a chin. The guy just got outboxed by a C-Level brawler in his last fight for gods sake. I see manny winning a hilariously lopsided decision or stopping him in the late rounds. And if people cling to it as a potential gateway to a Mayweather fight, that's just pathetic.
Cali d,
I don't think rios will get knocked out,he has the best chin in the sport today,he has been in brutal wars and has never been knocked down.
I predict a landslide 119-109 UD win for manny p
Pacquiao will KO Rios around round 6 or 7...if Tue ref doesn't stop it sooner. Rios is smaller and coming off a loss vs Alvarado. That says he isn't in Pacquiao's class.
And yes, like Cotto, after an impressive win people will say he should get in with Floyd knowing Top Rank is not gonna allow it.
This is a 50-50 fight, no predictions for me, just going to watch and enjoy the action.
Thanks for unblockin g me Cali D. Yes Pac needs a knock out. And considering Bambam has a chin of a fking bull maybe he could go 6 rounds.
BQ: No I am tired wishing for it to happen. There ain't just nothing in hell that could get rid of Floyd's fear of the Pacman.
im thinking he would f*** up brandon rios and as far as that other fight man you might as well not even think about that no more
