That is one if the reasons Pacman has success, hes short but his long arms mislead other boxers making it harder for them to measure distance.
You think that's freakish?
Check out former welterweight champion Barbados Joe Walcott: he was only 5'1'' but his reach was about the same as pacquiao. Or check out the more recent Dwight Muhammad Qawi. He arguably beat prime cruiserweight Holyfield in their first match, at 5'5'' Dwigh had a 71'' reach, longet then Mike Tyson.
Have you seen his calf muscles? Scientists believe he's a bigger person inside a smaller person's body, which is why he is able to go up and down weights easily. Also, Pacquiao has an 8 inch wrist (a wrist of a heavyweight).
Pacquiao is a truly special fighter. He may be short for the welterweights but he has a wingspan that,s comparable or even longer than those in the division while having the fist and punching power of a heavyweight.
I noticed that too no clue.
genetics.......................bigger feet and balls too
I've always thought Pacquiao had short arms ,especially compared to someone at tall and lanky as Algeri.
I saw the tale of the tape and it said Algeri had an arm span of 22 inches but Pacquiao had a arm span of 23 inches ,i was like "No way ,that has to be a mistake".
Was that a mistake?
