I think a short and sweet message would be nice. Get right to the heart of the matter with a sentimental "thank you." Who could resist a heartfelt message (even if it's short and sweet)?
You could try one of the messages that I have on my web site, BirthdayMessages.net:
The word “friend” cannot fully express how I feel about you. For me, you are a source of strength, happiness and success. Thank you for throwing me a birthday party!
OR something like this:
A great friend like you is something hard to find, especially nowadays. Now that I’ve found you, I will do my best to be that kind of friend to you. Thank you for throwing me a birthday party!
Hope this helps,
Kevin
Sweet & nice. Long messageeee. Saying how amazing & thoughtful it was.
