Why are everyone clamoring for a Floyd fight when Pacquiao beat his 4th straight fighter coming off a loss?

I'm Filipino and a big boxing fan.

I am ecstatic that Pacman won this fight. But if you are a REAL boxing fan, you would know that Rios is not a real challenge for Pacquiao. He is far from the caliber of Marquez, Barrera, Morales or Cotto.

You are right, Manny needs to fight a really 'hot' fighter. Not a fighter just coming off a loss. Every TV news channel here is reporting that Manny is as good as he was in his prime. Again, that is just adrenaline. I'm happy it uplifted all of us. But let's not get out of hand.

The Rios fight is designed to make Pacquiao look like he's back. Manny did his job. And that's great. "He's back" - Michael Buffer

But that doesn't mean is the best P4P once again. He needs to prove more. Debate s much as you want to, but the bottomline is... Pacman lost to Bradley and Marquez, that cannot be erased.

Only one thing can really propel him back to greatness - beat Mayweather. Floyd may try to avoid once again, but if that doesn't happen, Manny will never get back to his pedestal, which he might really deserve.

The only way Manny will be able to make Floyd fight him is for Manny to call him for the coward that he is. Manny should intimidate Floyd and be vocal about it. Floyd has always been afraid of Manny. There's no doubt about that and he will continue to find reasons to avoid him and all his fans will support him. Arum is just a diversion as well as the demands for blood tests and higher purse share. Rios may not be a big deal but, consider that the previous 2 fights before that were flukes. He beat Bradley without question and was on the verge of getting Marquez to quit before getting hit with a lucky punch. So, if Floyd is not scared, let's see him come out and make the event happen. Why does he have to demand Manny beat other fighters if he is that easy to beat and he can earn the highest purse he can ever have? That doesn't make sense. He just wants to avoid and let others do the fighting for him.

LoL Teddy, before the Rios fight you said Bambam was no easy opponent. Beating somebody like Rios was no big deal? C'mon bro. There's no one out there so big to deal with. Tim and JMM fought just last month. That's if they're the ones you're egging Pac to against.

Floyd has fought and beat every quality opponent. But as i've said before, Floyd struggles against lefties. Everyone has their Waterloos. Floyd by any means is no exception. If you haven't' noticed, Pretty Boy was'nt so pretty against southpaws. Zab literally dropped him, Cotto (a converted southpaw) gave Floyd cauliflower ears. Oscar who's just like Miguel gave Floyd fits. PBF had to escape via split D. (I had the fight for GOlden Boy) Even Ortiz made the night tough for Floyd. You take all these into consideration, why wont everyone clamor for a Floyd fight if May has to face the greatest southpaw of this generation?

Rios may not be a elite fighter, but Manny looked really good in that fight. He put up 12 solid rounds of movement and lots of action. He no longer seems to be suffering from the leg cramps that have been plaguing him his last few fights. I think the best thing for Manny would be a rematch with Bradley, then Mayweather. Why? To avenge his loss, and Bradley did outbox JMM, and Manny will gain more exposure to the faster Bradley (than JMM). It would prepare him for a bout against Floyd more than a rematch with JMM would.

The media is not focused on Manny pacquiao compeititon because they think he is the only fighter that pose a legitimate threat to Floyd mayweather jr. Everyone says that " styles make fights " and Manny pacquiao is an aggressive fighter that will take Floyd mayweather jr. out of his comfort zone. Foyd mayweather is clearly the more technical fighter of the two but Pacquiao will give him a run for his money. It will not be a easy day at the office.

Its the super-fight everyone wants to see. People would still watch in droves even when they are both in their fifties. And its true, that at the moment, Pacquaio doesn't deserve a match either. He has beaten Rios, yes, like we all expected but is Rios even as good as a Guerrero or Ortiz. A Bradley and Marquez match would easily turn our heads.

aint about pac fighting a tune up or the best out there... remember he was destroying everyone on his path to floyd but the fight did not happen.... its just a sign that the megafight aint dead yet for the fans, you fail to understand bc youre ageek.... the very reason why you ask this Q... it doesnt mean they have to negotiate right away cuz pac still have bradley to settle, he beat bradley, jmm bc irrelevant...

pac and floyd must fight, period!!! and theyre running out of time...

w/c you obviously cannot get bc you got no imagination...

Yep, Manny the Magician! I have wrote letters ad nauseum about his penchant for fighting previous Mayweather victims, or fighters coming off of a loss, or weight draining fighters.

Teddy Teddy Teddy....

Its as if you're implying Pac after beating Rios doesn't have the right to fight that fking psychological coward you're protecting.

Let me remind you that few years ago when Pac was on a streak of beating up elite fighters, Floyd would not dare mention the name Pacquiao. Floyd put up a number of silly excuses just not to fight Pac and you people were always there in Floyd's fking defense.

Then came Pac's loss to Bradley.... Then got his azz put to sleep by Marquez...

My question to you is when, Teddy? If Pac is winning fights, no Floyd fight. If Pac is losing, still no Floyd fight. What is it that Pac needs to do just to get a fight with Floyd? Tell this forum, Ted.

They want to see the fight. But, this has been the plan I said on here that Arum had 7 years ago! They would NOT fight Mayweather until he was 37 or older. I am right, always have been. Nobody ever listened to me. They thought it was safe fighting Marquez who was 39/40 and they were wrong. They had been fighting guys coming off losses, aging, dehydrated, or all 3. It's about as safe as they can be now, Pacman is being lost as a cash cow, time to FINALLY dump him on Mayweather to beat.

They pulled the wool over most people's eyes, but not mine. They are hoping Mayweather gets old in the ring, beat him on points and then say, "see, he could have always beaten him." But I still don't see that happening as I never thought Manny could beat Money or Pretty boy.

I still have the same prediction I always had. Mayweather is just too good for Manny. Mayweather is even too good for the "mythical 2008-2010" Manny that never really existed.

Beating somebody like Rios was no big deal as Rios lost his last fight to Alvarado and many believe also to Richard Abril. Previous to a nard-luck 2012, Pacquiao had also beaten a string of fighters coming off big losses---Clottey ( to Cotto), Margarito (to Mosley) and Mosley ( to Floyd ).

Who cares? The fight is not gonna happen. Floyd is his own boss and won't make the fight happen...

wtf dude, they said they are goin for floyd in sept next year...

let the two ppv giants fight, they owe it to the fans, this fight s been long over due already, let them go for it for boxing sakes, dont you wanna know who will ask for a new demand again, or who really dictates the debacle? me, am just happy to know who will announce another long vacation again...

can you believ this people!!! guerrero and canelo can fight floyd but not pacquiao, what the...???

Back stabbing your own fellow flip,I see
