1998 De la Hoya vs 2008 Cotto..who wins?

De la hoya who was the #1 p4p in 1998..vs pre-margarito fight Cotto of 2008

Fight is @147...who wins?

De La Hoya would win with a late stoppage.

Cotto never had the lateral movement or solid jab to win.

De La Hoya would have spun him all night, jabbed him, with quick one-two's possibly setting up the famous left hook.

Cotto would probably tag Oscar a few times but Oscar was known to have a solid chin. Most of his knockdowns were flash knockdowns.

It would be a good fight but Oscar would win late.

In 1998 ,De La Hoya was more of a natural welterweight and had a solid quick jab and a heighth advantage standing 5'10.

In 2008 ,Cotto relied more on his power than speed at welterweight because he seemed to become a step slower ,when he was fighting at lightweight and jr welterweight ,he displayed faster hands.

If the version of the two you described were to meet today ,i think De La Hoya would maximize his heighth and reach advantages and tattoo the whole fight against Miguel Cotto to win fairly comfortably because Cotto only stands 5'7 while De La Hoya stands 5 '10 ,plus at welterweight ,De La hoya displayed the better hand speed on top of having the better reach andf a quicker more effective jab.

Oscar de La Hoya by UD.

Oscar De La Hoya

DLH would stop Cotto at 147 lbs

He never got knocked out, but Cotto would get hurt and knocked down a lot at junior-welter. DLH would be able to put him away I think.

Oscar by late stoppage or knockout.. Oscar is too fast and powerful for Cotto

I go with cotto,de la hoya is a tranny

Kool K. nailed it
