20 Greatest Dream Fights in History?

Posted at: 2015-04-20
The coincidence here with my answer is that you've already mentioned my first 5 obvious dream fights so I guess I'll start off with #6 with the rest of my top 20(though my list here is not in particular order):

6) Aaron Pryor vs Roberto Duran between 135 and 140

7) Sugar Ray Robinson vs Roy Jones Jr between 160 and 168

8) Henry Armstrong vs Julio Cesar Chavez between 135 and 140

9) Manny Pacquiao vs Aaron Pryor at 140

10) Manny Pacquiao vs Henry Armstrong between 126 and 147

11) Joe Frazier vs Rocky Marciano

12) Muhammad Ali vs Ezzard Charles(Doesn't sound like much of a dream fight but imagine if Charles had never unintentionally killed Sam Baroudi and moved up to the Heavyweights afterwards?)

13) Salvador Sanchez vs Henry Armstrong between 126 and 135(Even though Sanchez hadn't lived enough to have moved up to 135 and Armstrong still in development process at 126, it still would make a great match between 2 non-stop volume punchers)

14) Ike Ibeabuchi vs James J Jeffries(Now Ibeabuchi never lived up to his full potential but he sure as hell does have a lot in common with Big Jeff. Both were freakishly strong, both had inhuman stamina and both had an uncanny ability of absorbing so many brutal shots, even from a brutal puncher and still rarely flinched from the shots. This is probably one of the greatest battles of two near indestructible boxers)

15) Diego Corrales vs Arturo Gatti(Two of one of the most exciting fighters of the 2000s era of boxing. Both of these men simply would just never stop throwing so many punches when they fight. It's a shame this match up was never materialized for reals before both of them passed away. If only Corrales moved up to his more ideal weight between 140 and 147 at the time)

16) Sonny Liston vs George Foreman(young)

17) Sugar Ray Robinson vs Thomas Hearns at 154(Now imagine Hearns at his absolute peak weight vs the great Sugar Ray Robinson

18) Bernard Hopkins vs Thomas Hearns at 160(B-Hop's primary style may not be pretty but I think it may be interesting to see a very durable guy like him vs Hearns. Hearns obviously has the blend of power, speed, and accuracy to greatly trouble B-Hop. However, not only is B-Hop very difficult to hurt, he's also proven in his recent fights against Murat and Pascal that he can slug it out when needed to)

19) Archie Moore vs Matthew Saad Muhammad

20) Floyd Mayweather Jr vs Hector Camacho Sr at 135(LOL, imagine all the sh!t talking between them before the actual bout? Camacho's speed and Mayweather's wit is what makes this dream bout interesting)

The obvious picks as you mentioned my friend. And here's my fifteen in no particular order

I'll answer it as long as you answer mine.

I recently asked this question but I am hoping to get new opinions. I will ask this question once again after I get answers for this one. I'm trying to get as many different perspectives as possible.

.

I want to know what you think would be the Top 20 Dream Fights in History. The selections can be in any weight class -As long as both fighters are in the same class- (that means no goofy stuff like Tyson vs Mayweather or something).

Some ideas are obvious like ALI vs Tyson, Tyson vs Frazier, Duran vs Chavez, Leonard vs Robinson, Whitaker vs Mayweather, etc.

What are your picks? You can pick a winner for each if you like.
