Canelo learns that experience is the best policy in boxing.
Yeah, Canelo is just too young to even be in the same ring with Mayweather. His fighting experience is nothing compared to Mayweather. Canelo should have faced better opponents first before he decided to fight the greatest. Canelo should have boxed with the likes of Danny Garcia or Lucas Matthyse first and maybe the likes of Miguel Cotto, before fighting Mayweather. Maybe this would give him a lot more experience, fighting Mayweather's past opponents.
he can learn that styles make fights and he needs to practice adjusting and working on different gameplans.in the case of this fight it would have been a dramatic adjustment.
trying to out counter punch mayweather was never going to work (though i was very impressed)
some of the first rounds were very close but when mayweather started winning rounds clearly,canelo should have moved on to a plan B.why he never had one is beyond me.his trainer should of had that all covered but maybe they were too scared of being ko'd infront of all the mexican fans to even try different tactics.
for these reasons i'd change trainers, though i must admit that canelo should have had the gutts to throw caution to the wind and pressure.it was clearly the obvious thing to do.to me he just didn't have the balls and probably didn't beleive his stamina would hold out
He can learn to fight better opponents before taking on the best around. Fighting tomato cans and washed up names can't prepare someone for the best out there.
well one thang he needs to learn is to adjust his style 2 a style that gives him the best opportunity for a victory.. he tried to outbox the best boxer period, he shoulduve adjusted his style a bit.. but too be honest carnelo dint do to bad
