Anyone else think its unwise for floyd maywether to be fighting younger elite fighters?

As much as I love watching Saul fight it seems he takes a lot of time off during each round. He fights in spurts. He throws nice combinations and has heavy hands but he takes too much time off. I think Maywether can weather the storms and take advantage of the spurts and launch counters, I see decision win for Maywether. Even if he loses Alvarez is still young and talented and will gain valuable ring time. Not to mention a nice payday. Its a win-win for both fighters. But Maywather shouldn't test GGG.

NJ local boxing clubs are welcome to post a free classified listing at :

At his age, Floyd will not face anyone around his age. No one his age will be elite. He is expected to fight top guys because he is THE TOP GUY. All the guys his age are considered past their prime, so he would be criticized... Although he is past his prime and aged himself. Price of being Floyd.

It may be unwise, but he has no choice.

he always got choice on who he fights... he is his own boss

man, alvarez is a great potential but still aint there...

yea, he's huge but the guy is slow, lacks experience, lacks stamina and worst he will fight floyd on a catchweight... this guy is tailor made for floyd, his only weapon is his size, true fans knows his chance against floyd is slim

broner and brook, are you serious????

and alexander? aw maaaan, stop it!!!

nobody can box against floyd and win, nobody can outbox floyd, you ought to know that...

sad alvarez aint a swarmer, imagine if he is, do you think floyd can handle the pressure while alvarez swarms him against the ropes????

Yes, I think he's courting disaster with it. But on hindsight, Floyd has always been smart with his opponents - from choosing to fighting. He'll never fight an opponent he can't beat.

Why would he fight Broner. Broner's a lightweight.

I think he will manage.

he will be facing saul alvarez a much younger fighter and over the next few years word is he will be facing younger and also unbeaten fighters such as adrien broner and kell brook he might also be facing younger slick southpaw devon alxander how will maywether keep up wth these guys?...
