No I wouldn't say he is finished, but he will now be considered a stepping stone.
It's hard to say Berto is finished when he was never really that good to begin with. He was more of a glorified gatekeeper who was being spoon fed opponents. So he can continue being a gatekeeper, just not a glorified one.
