Boxing: Does Floyd Mayweather deserve to be pound for pound #1 over Andre Ward?

why or why not?

of course he does. he's been in the game 17 years capturing titles at multiple weights without a loss and faced top competition, and he still is outclassing everyone he fights

ward hasn't done anything yet to compare with floyds achievements. he's the best at his weight and he's been dominant in all his fights but he's still relatively young and has a long way to go before he can be considered above mayweather.

Yes

1) Floyd Mayweather is a superior boxer, even at 36 years old.

2)Andre Ward has beaten every opponent there is at Super Middleweight, but what else has he done? He has fought in one weight class and his previous victory was against a weight drained Light heavyweight.

current p4p list NO.All time P4P list YES.

if Ward retired tomorrow Mayweather would achieved more in his career.

but currently i rate Ward higher because of mayweathers tendency to fight opponents within his comfort zone.Ward however fights the best and the elite. The super 6 proved that.

Who has Andre Ward fought ? Carl Froch and Chad Dawson ? Big deal

Yes. A P4P list is about competition, boxing skills, and longevity. All of which are in Floyd's favor. He clearly has superior boxing skill, he obviously has been in the game longer and his level of competition has been better having fought arguably 5 future HOFers.

why or why not?
