Boxing: WBC says he has to give up either his Wbc 147 title or his Wbc 154 title?

A) Should he have to give up either?

B) Which should he keep?

A) He shouldn't have to give up either unless he plans on staying in one division or the other.

Floyd won the WBC super welter title before against Oscar and he gave it up opting to keep his welterweight belt which he defended against Ricky Hatton before his first retirement in 2007. No problem for Floyd I think He can again give up the WBC 154 lbs. belt and remain champion in the division as he still holds the WBA title and has the Ring Magazine recognition in addition to his WBC welterweight tiara. I think Floyd can still play his card in either division depending on which of the two divisional titles can give him the bigger money fight.

i don't know the WBC's reasons behind this so i can't really say

i think he should keep the 147 belt cus that's were his next fight will most likely be.i don't no wether being a belt down would hurt his payday because he is the face of boxing right now but an extra belt won't hurt his paycheck either

No he shouldn't it's disgraceful and just greedy business from the WBC. He should bin them both, he'll still be world champion and P4P king, he doesn't need the belt for anyone to recognise he's the best in the world at both weight classes

A. I don't agree with it, but if WBC, would do that, it would be because they want more champions, so they make more money.

B. I would think 147, because their is more fights their, unless he goes up to 160, and fights the big names their.

B. keep the welterweight crown.

Being an old time guy I have never considered the in between classes to be as good as the traditional weight classes.

A. I don't think fighters should be required to give up their crowns unless they have failed to defend them.
