It's b/c Garcia had a camera on him right after Matthysse crushed Peterson, and he had like an unconfident and worried look on his face.

On top of that, Matthysse said time and again he wanted Garcia. So if the fight didn't take place, it was going to be all on D Swift.

Also it took really long to get the fight done, and I assume people thought that Garcia was possibly balking at the fight.

Then you had like Zab Judah on youtube telling reporters he was in talks w/ GB for a rematch against Danny.

Obviously we know why it took so long to make, Schaefer had a lot of sh*t to deal w/ in general, AND he's trying to put an A+ fight as the co-main event on the biggest PPV of the year.

I knew the fight would happen, I don't Danny is scared of anyone at all. HE's a real fighter, but even if he is/was scared of Matthysse, Garcia would never duck him b/c there's no way to save face and people wouldn't let him forget it.

It's just typical rumors. Ducking is just a part of boxing today, fighter's are trying to keep their records squeaky clean.

Everybody knows that Mayweather ducked Pacquiao.

Everybody is ducking Golovkin.

All the chinless heavyweight prospects are staying away from good opponents, in hopes of landing a title shot.
