Floyd Mayweather Sr. claims he lost to Sugar Ray Leonard because of his bad arm...?

If the two were to duke it out today in a 6 round fight ,how do you think it would turn out?

Floyd Sr.never was a highly rated and touted fighter in his days compared to his son and his brother Roger who was good enough to win titles at 130 and 140 lbs. and gaining the reputation as Latin Assassin.

With two good pair of hands, Floyd Sr. will still lose to Leonard via the short route. Fact is, it was his second TKO career loss, his first coming against a Tyrone Phelps in his fifth outing. To his credit, Floyd Sr. only had four defeats in his entire career with those two as his only losses via the short route. But he never got to fight for any major world championship, failing even to win the USBA national title, losing to Marlon Starling.

Leonard would stop the elder Mayweather in about 4 rounds. While both are in great shape for their respective ages, Mayweather has health problems which inhibits his breathing. As we know, boxing requires stamina.

.

Now, while Leonard is certainly not in shape to be a boxer, he'd be in no danger against an older man who is also in no shape to box. If Floyd hits an average man with a punch in a street fight, chances are he'll take the guy out. But if he faces a guy like Leonard, it's likely that he will be knocked out himself.

I think that in their prime's - Sugar Ray was something special... He was one of them boxers that had the natural ability to work out his opposition super fast... Add lightening speed, and Leonard was quite the package..

In today's times... Floyd Sr is super fit, as Sugar Ray has struggled with substance abuse...

Given both men's fitness today.... I would probably lean towards Mayweather Sr

Like father, like son, he can not accept the fact he was not as good and got beat.

today is not relevant to what they were in their prime and the only way Mayweather, Sr. would beat Leonard is with a gun.

So stupid that you ask a legit question, but b/c it has the name "Mayweather" in it, these morons just start crying about Floyd Jr instead of answering your question.

Anyway, Floyd SR would've lost back then, injured or not.

Today, I'd still think SRL would beat Mayeawther Sr. Leonard is like four or five years younger, and seems to be in good shape.

Big Floyd is over sixty years old, and has Sarcoidosis (among other health issues). Leonard takes this by decision or mid round stoppage.

Bad arm inherits brittle hands.

Sr. must've ducked SRL. A lesson he would've learned from that experience that made him tell Jr. "Don't fkng fight Pacquiao. Beat you wife up and go to jail".lololol

Like Father, like Son. Excuses, excuses, and more excuses. Maybe Leonard was on steroids?

Alibi.. Mayweathers has full of alibi..

his son has many alibi just not to fight pacquiao
