How come good fighters hang up their gloves when their still in their prime and marketable?

lmao I remember Jaidon. He's from my hometown and was my favorite fighter on that one season of Contender. I think he's a cop now.

After you lose a few (especially if its in devastating fashion like a KO) you lose the drive/hunger/motivation, and if that happens its probably best that you hang it up, prime or not. Jaidon looked overweight, out of shape and unmotivated against that Russian kid.

Smart fighters retire with their health.

Most fighters continue to box long after they have lost their edge, and suffer for it.

It is very smart to quit fighting when you know you are not as good as you should be.

Tunney, and Marciano were two examples of great boxers who after reaching their goals and attaining financial security left boxing to live a normal life.

Some, because they grow tired of it and want to try something else. Some, because they want to be remembered at the top of their game. Some, so they can spend more time with their family or friends. A very few because they have a medical condition they're not sharing with the world at large.

I dont know but i wish Lennox Lewis rematched Klitchko and beat his *** im not a big Lewis fan but he was far better than the robot brothers Lewis should of gotten in shape beat Vitali up then went after Vlad then retired

Taking shots to the head has deliberating side effects than can very well be permanent. A lot of boxers develop parkinson's 'SYNDROME' not disease from taking shots to the head.

Jaidon Codrington is a good example ,he may not have been the greatest fighter out there but he was good and fun to watch ,although he may not have quite been championship caliber he still could have made a good living in boxing. Why just retire?
