I was taught that the higher on the head the less effective the punch.
So the chin is an easier knock out than the temple.
Of course a lot depends on the punch and the person getting hit.
Both. A temple shot will hurt somebody w/ a good chin though, just take note of that.
You have no hold over your equilibrium if you get hit in the temple good, your legs will go and there's nothing you can do except try to survive the storm.
