Is Floyd better at 36 than he was at 26?

He most definitely could be.

Unlike B-Hop, Floyd has superb reflexes/athleticism, and unlike RJJ, he has superb technique and doesn't solely rely on his physical gifts.

So that means once he loses a little bit of his reflexes (which may have already happened), he's not gonna start getting knocked out or losing BECAUSE he has that flawless technique.

Roy IMO was the most athletically gifted fighter ever. Because of that, he never needed to learn technique. Then when he started slipping and getting older, he had nothing to fall back on b/c of the fact he never needed to learn proper technique or defense.

Floyd could fight on an elite level for a long time. and maintain his dominance. He already has considering he's almost 37 years old.

He's just as smart as B-Hop, maybe even better in terms of a technical sense, or at the very least even w/ him.

His speed/overall athleticism is also much better than B-Hops ever was, which will still come into play even if Floyd's older.

He'll have faster hands, quicker feet, sharper punches, etc...Bernard has none of those, but he can still hang w/ the young guns b/c his technique is so superior.

I don't know if Floyd is really "better" now than he was ten years ago, but he's a more seasoned fighter and at least still just as good as back then, considering all of the things I mentioned above.

I guess. It's mainly just his experience in the game. His style hasn't changed and his skills have not improved but he's seen it all so he is able to fight more effectively. It's not just that though, he is on another level mentally. He never gets frustrated and remains relaxed. Something his opponents can never do.

With that style yes. The dude gets better with age. Even Bernard said it.

yes.i don't think his athleticism has slipped at all and his performances are becoming more polished the more he fights.he looked completely comfortable in there

He is lucky in boxing all you can use is your hands because if you could attack the legs he would be so done for.

in the last couple fights, i got a slight hint that Floyd's reflexes might slipping ever so slightly...

but last night, i swear he was like a cobra, i never seen him so fast, pulling his head back and dodging shots

i think Floyd does get hit more now than he used, but it almost seems like that is by choice, just to prove the critics wrong who always said he would go down the first time he got hit clean

i always used to think that Floyd would get exposed once his reflexes began to slip, just like what happened to Roy Jones....

well, at 36, his reflexes look as good as ever, AND he is showing more of a willingness to stand toe to toe and take his opponents best shots (one of the big criticisms over the years from his haters)

can you see Floyd getting better with age and having a successful career in his later years like B-Hop, Archie Moore, and a few of the other greats???
