How long would it take for Ray Leanord to tko Julio Cesar Chavez sr?

I believe Ray Leonard would need at least 8 Rounds to TKO Chavez Sr.

Like it or not, Chavez Sr is a very tough boxer. He had heart. Look, when he was hit hard so many times by Meldrick Taylor, he still survives and instead he won via KO in the last round. The fight with De La Hoya was after Chavez Sr past his prime.

But, we can't compare Leonard to Taylor. Leonard is that d@mn good. Leonard would bust Chavez Sr's nose or mouth open very bad. A prime Chavez Sr wouldn't quit, but at some points, eventually Leonard would keep hitting him with combinations. That eventually the referee feel it's enough or Chavez's corner would throw in the towel.

Leonard would have knocked out Chavez, Sr.by the middle rounds after severely mauling and busting him up in the earlier rounds The Mexican great was almost invincible and impervious to the opponents' hardest blows at 130 through 135 lbs. But he was not as great and strong and durable at 140 lbs. and above. His two fights with Frankie Randall, controversial come from behind last two ticks TKO win over Meldrick Taylor and his two crushing TKO defeats to Oscar de la Hoya clearly demonstrated this. Leonard was beaten by former lightweight king Roberto Duran in their first fight but Duran has had the benefit of a number of welterweight bouts, and wins including against former welterweight titlist Carlos Palomino that prepped him up for Leonard. Duran was a legit welterweight and a very strong one at that when he tangled against Sugar Ray in their two fights at 147 lbs. That would be the main difference between him and Chavez vis a vis SRL. Note also that SRL possessed one of the rapier-like jabs and paralyzing punches in the history of the welterweight class If a hook that merely grazed Tommy Hearns jaw sent the Hitman on spaghetti legs, imagine what a full impact one could do to Chavez's senses!

not a chance in hell of leonard ko'ing chavez . have you only seen chavez vs de la hoya , chavez was coming up to his 100th fight at that time 3 weight classes above his first world title well past his best .it's like saying because terry norris bashed the crap out of sugar ray leonard so how long would it take mike mccallum to ko leonard .

now i do think leonard would beat chavez ,but duran beat leonard fighting very much like chavez but i think leonard would win on points with absolutely no chance of him knocking chavez down never mind out.

Me too

This interesting because Chavez sr would always come forword it would be interesting to see how long he will last to one of the greatest punchers and fastest fighter of all time.

In both of there primes I predict Chavez sr to get beat up the same fashion the way De La Hoya beat him but maybe worser.
