How much of a threat is Oma Figueroa to the current champs at 135lbs?

Figueroa is dangerous for sure.

I dont' think he's a HUGE threat to the top guys though. He looked mediocre in his last fight w/ Belmontes, and I don't know if it's b/c he reinjured his hands or what, but it didn't look like he was throwing very hard either.

Guys like Vazquez and Bud Crawford would handle him pretty easily IMO. I'd love to see him fight Sergio Thompson or Raymundo Beltran.

At this point in time,WBC titlist Omar Figueroa is not so much of a threat to veteran champions Miguel Vasquez (WBA) and Richar Abril (WBA) who both know how to handle tough, aggressive hard punchers like Omar. However I think Omar has a chance against fellow fledgling titlist Terrence Crawford (WBO). But Crawford is in for a tight defense against Cuban Yuri Gamboa this weekend.

Not that much of a Threat. He lost is last fight to Jerry Belmontes IMO.

Vasquez, Crawford and Abril School him.

Jorge Linares can actually beat him if he doesn't get Caught.

Ricky Burns and Kevin Mitchell also beat him IMO.

Figueroa is a very good fighter, but he's flat flooted IMO.

I don't think he will beat Crawford or Vasquez but he will give them a challenge. His heart and will to win makes him a legitmate threat in his division.

He will always come to fight whether he's winning or losing.

He would have next to no chance against Vasquez or Abril, if there was fair scoring. Terrence Crawford breaks him down easily too.

I doubt he could beat Vasquez or Abril. But he could beat Gamboa, Crawford, Linares and Thompson.
