How should I train myself to have harder knuckles and throw harder punches?

yes you should learn proper technique how to throw a punch and you can try hitting a heavybag without gloves but you have to know how to do it properly or else you will break your hands

It all boils down to natural talent. If you don't have what it takes to throw a power punch, no amount of training and exercise is going modify that. There's an old saying in boxing that you can't teach a boxer "chin," meaning that you can not teach them how to take a punch to the chin. If a fighter has a suspect chin that is an achilles heel he has to deal with for the rest of his career. The same rule applies to throwing harder punches. Either you can throw a good punch or you can't. No amount of training will change that. If you're getting jumped regularly after work, changing your route going home is your best bet to avoid getting beaten up.

Im a boxer and my trainer tells me not to do that since in two years im going pro but my secret is i punch wood and rub them in sandpaper. Also i got a large cylinder filled with gravel or sand and push it down with my knucles also when you punch move your body like if you throw a right turn your feet the direction you throw the puch at hope it helps out also i put my hands in hot water

well, massage your hands on a granite slab(10 mins is fine ,don't overdo or your skin might peel off) .....and heat up some beach sand and hit the sand for 1/2 hour daily . you should see the effects in about 6 months or so.......

I've been jumped a few times on my way home from work and I actually managed to defend myself but I caused harm on my hands, probably because of not throwing a proper punch. I'm 17 years old, 6'1" and 190lbs. I can throw a punch hard but I feel like I should be able to throw it harder but I can't.
