Remember, clean Effective punching, Effective aggression, and ring generalship. Trout controlled the pace but his punches were not as effective as Canelo's and his aggression was not very affective. Whenever Alvarez chose to punch, his punches pushed Trout back or staggered him. The numbers show Trout being more active, but Alvarez almost doubling him in power shots and beating him by 9% in jabs thrown/landed ratio.
Trout's speech was not rehearsed at all. It was just the speech of a very classy, but emotional guy. Look at his wife's face as the rounds proceeded. She knew that he was in the fight, but not winning. Sorry you lost money on it. I could never bring myself to gamble on sports. I know that some people say it adds to the drama, but I think it creates too much anxiety and it also decreases objectivity.

Flash, Trout got outboxed with harder shots. He controlled with the jab but it was canelo who countered with harder shots and making trout miss.
It was a close fight and I do not agree with the 118-109 scoring but this is no where near the robbery that people are claiming. Canelo is only going to get better and so is Trout after this match and I felt both fighters have learned a bunch in this fight.
I have no doubt these two will meet again.

I actually scored it 115-112 for Alvarez.Trout would have flashy moments but would seem to miss a lot and take hard shots in almost every round.Also if you didn't have Alvarez winning round 11 then you were way off.Remember just because trouts punches hit Alvarezs gloves doesn't make it a point
I thought the fight could of gone either way but I scored it 115-113 for Alvarez, I can see it going the other way around for Trout but I do agree118-109 was not any fight that I saw and that judge was clearly in need of showing how and why he scored the fight this way. Either way any one looks at it it was a good competitive fight that Alvarez got the win it was not a robbery but it sure was a heck of a lot closer that what those judges scored it!

Trout won this fight by three rounds there is no way Canelo won this fight . Why is everyone talking about the got knock down lol Trout got up and won the rest of the round 10-9 .
