Boxing what round would this be a ko?

After 10th round but before the 11th starts one side throws in the towel. What round would the ko be classed as 10 or 11

Good question, we saw it last night, in order to ensure no guesswork was involved in my answer I went back to the Fury vs Chisora II fight video and skipped to the point where Jimmy Lennon Jr gives the official decision. His announcement is as follows

"...upon suggestion of the corner this bout has been stopped at the end of round number 10...."

Fury therefore is the winner by 10th round TKO

10

11th round TKO. The 10th round is officially over.

Sonny Liston quit on his stool after the 6th round and did not come out for the 7th round and the official verdict was 7th round retirement/TKO for Muhammad Ali in their first fight.

A towel being tossed into the ring after the bell or a fighter not answering the bell for the next round for what ever reason, has already completed the previous round, so officially it goes down as .01 seconds of the next round. In your questions case, the towel coming in between rounds ends the fight officially one second of the next round,

Blogbaba is correct when a fighter fails to answer the bell for a round the fight is stopped in that round, since this fighter finished the 10th,the fight was not stopped in the 10th so it goes as stoppage in the 11th, when the fight was actually stopped.

11th round dis or tko.

Doesn't matter now william hill paid me, thanks fury **** fight but nice pay day. It's classed as round 10 win if anyone else wants to know
